SYRACUSE — An already quite large craft bazaar will be expanding this year to include more vendors. The annual Wawasee Middle School Christmas Craft Bazaar, a fundraiser for the school’s PTO, will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the school, 9850 SR 13, south of Syracuse.
This year’s bazaar will have an extra 30 vendor booths in an extended area, bringing the total of vendors to likely exceed 250.
Although the official start time for the bazaar is 8 a.m., beginning at 7:15 a.m. special early VIP shopping passes will be sold and those with the passes will be allowed to enter the bazaar through the main entrance beginning at 7:30 a.m.
This is the place to find out of the ordinary or unique crafts and gift items. Many items are carefully handmade. For one example of what will be sold, Friends of the North Webster Community Public Library will be selling a variety of gift jar mixes including soup, pasta, cookie and muffin.
A raffle will be held and the prizes will include a lounge chair donated by Larwill-based furniture dealer Three Birds Casual, and $100 and $50 gift certificates which can be used at the 2019 bazaar. Tickets can be purchased for the raffle anytime and you need not be present to win. Funds raised will be used to help families with school field trip expenses.
Free shuttle parking will be available at the nearby Vineyard Church and Shepherd by the Lakes Lutheran Church. Breakfast and lunch will be offered by the Wawasee Middle School Sunshine Committee.
The bazaar is organized and planned by the PTO. For more information, call the school at (574) 457-8839.
